About Me

I have been interested in Indian art forms since childhood. The availability of art books, esp MARG Publications’ journals, mom’s art editor friend and the odd framed print kindled in me a lasting interest, which creates much excitement even today. When I could not afford to buy any work, I created a scrap book out of magazine and newspaper clippings. Later on, when things started looking up financially, I found prices of art very steep, but took a tentative step and started a collection. Since then I have plunged head-first into this irresistible world and have built up a small and diverse collection which I showcase here. I now look forward to each day for the excitement the art world brings.

My other great interest is the stock market and investment. So I obviously tried to combine my interests in art and investing to arrive at a successful art-for-investment portfolio. I’ve read-up on art history, market trends, art news etc. But every so often emotions take over and I have realised that art must be a passion before it can be an investment. Art is after all a sensual subject and your senses and sensibilities must both be with you on the journey.
